2007 KE Bushman's Vitzin Rosé
Ripe for the Picking
$12.70
Vitzin’s summer sunset color says it all. Ripe for the picking, it has a nose of spiced black cherry, kiwi and honey with a candied strawberry and kiwi middle. This wine has a very long ripe jammy finish of mixed summer fruits. Pair with bar-b-que, hamburgers or any fresh fruit or salad.
Vitzin is a Mourvedre and Tempranillo blend whose grapes were grown in an excessively rainy year, thus lending to fruit that did not yield high color. However, this fruit was treated to the same sophisticated winemaking process as our well-known reds. In using strictly neutral American and French barrels in the aging process, over 18 months, the delicate flavors were beautifully concentrated, yet no harsh oak flavors or tannins were added.
Behind the Label:
Vitzin was the name of a famous Bushman tracker. This lightening tracker could track and outlast the largest animals on earth with his small wooden bow and arrow. He would surely appreciate his depiction on this delightful blend.
