WINEMAKER NOTES

Part of our 10-Year Port Program, this vintage began in the vineyard in 2016 and was patiently aged for seven years in barrel before continuing to develop in bottle. Over time, the deep ruby tones of youth softened into a warm amber hue, the signature color of a tawny-style port.

Aromas of caramel and chocolate-covered cherry rise first from the glass, followed by sweet raisin and a gentle lift of orange marmalade. On the palate, the wine is velvety and coating, unfolding layers of caramel, date, and soft praline while the fruit remains vibrant and expressive.

Extended aging has softened the tannins and woven the flavors together into a port that is rich, smooth, and beautifully balanced between luscious fruit and warm barrel character.
